Spray-on Sealants and Quick Detailers
With frost on the ground and temperatures struggling to get into double figures, now is the perfect time to invest in spray-on protection. The benefits of spray-on products are that they offer a quick and easy application, removal and protection from the elements. They are perfect for the winter months or for those people just looking for a quick and easy product that can top up the protection of their ceramic coating or wax.
Gtechniq C2 Liquid Crystal is a high concentration sealant formulated to deliver water and dirt repellency, in addition to enhancing gloss and UV resistance.
The Smart Surface Science
But how does it do this? C2 Liquid Crystal and Quick Detailer contain siloxane compounds that crosslink on application to form a hydrophobic, durable, polymeric film that chemically bonds to automotive paint.
The siloxanes used in both C2 Liquid Crystal and Quick Detailer have been synthesised with specific functionality to determine the optimum adhesion, mechanical strength and water repellency required for the coating’s performance.
C2 Liquid Crystal works exceptionally well on PPF and gloss vinyl substrates.
Application
C2 Liquid Crystal should be applied to freshly washed paint that is free from all contaminants and dirt.
The first step is to fully decontaminate the paint surface by removing any ingrained dirt. This can be done by applying W5 All Purpose Cleaner and W6 Iron and Fallout Remover to the paint and wheels. Allow both products to dwell and then rinse thoroughly.
The next step is to wash the surface of the paint with GWash Shampoo to remove all the loose dirt. Start washing the vehicle from the top and work your way to the bottom and then rinse with a steady stream of water.
C2 Liquid Crystal can be applied to a wet or dry panel. There is no right or wrong way of doing this. It is all about personal preference and convenience.
If you are applying the product to a wet panel, apply a couple of sprays to the panel and then over wipe with an MF4 Microfibre Drying Towel. Once the entire panel is dry, move onto the next panel.
Alternatively, you can dry the surface with a MF4 Microfibre Drying Towel and then apply the C2 Liquid Crystal to the dry panel and over wipe with a MF1 Microfibre.
TOP TIP: Remember that C2 Liquid Crystal is highly concentrated and a little bit goes a long way. Both C2 Liquid Crystal and Quick Detailer can be layered for extra performance and durability.
Maintenance & Top Tips
C2 Liquid Crystal is very easy to maintain. Simply wash the vehicle with GWash then dry the paint as normal.
You can also use Quick Detailer to remove light dust and fingerprint marks from the surface in between washes. C2 Liquid Crystal and Quick Detailer are fully compatible with all coatings and waxes.
Quick Detailer is the ideal product to maintain satin or matt paint finishes and film substrates.
We do not recommend applying C2 Liquid Crystal or Quick Detailer to glass.
